I wore contacts before LASIK, so while my vision was okay, my eyes were still often dry when wearing them, and the hassle of taking them out at night was a nightmare. When I would switch from contacts to glasses I would regularly get a headache, and my glasses didn't allow me to see all sides of the world. Contacts and glasses were just a real nuisance.

Now that I have had LASIK I actually see more clearly. No more mess of contacts! I am often up in the middle of the night with my 1year old, and it's much easier now that I can see. The procedure itself was quick and I was very comfortable. The staff did an incredible job of providing a calm and safe environment, especially considering how nervous you can be having your eyes worked on. Dr. Lasonde and his team were very friendly, and I got a real sense that they care about each patient. Every person I came in contact with encouraged questions and readily provided answers. I was also reassured by the fact that members of Dr. Lasonde's team had had LASIK themselves.

Looking back over the last year, one event stands out, LASIK. Having the LASIK procedure performed by Dr. Lasonde, and the care and treatment received from his exceptional staff, was one of the highlights of my adult life. Now the only difficult part is trying to decide what is my favorite benefit of the surgery. Is it swimming with my kids and not having to worry about losing a contact? Or maybe it's peeking at the clock in the middle of the night, a simple but oh-so-sweet pleasure. Being a pilot it could be flying late at night and being aware of how clear everything is and that I don't have the inconvenience of dry, irritating contacts or uncomfortable glasses anymore. Or it could be that hiking, kayaking, camping, basketball and well, almost every activity that I enjoy is more enjoyable now. The reality is that each of these individual pleasures is just a part of the total package; not a day goes by that I'm not grateful for the procedure and for the tremendous result.

My vision prior to LASIK was 20/400, and things started to blur at a foot from my face. It was very annoying to always have to wear glasses or contacts. What a big change to be able to do anything now without thinking about whether or not my glasses will get in the way. For instance: running, exercising, even laying on the couch not having a pillow push my glasses askew. I don't think about my vision anymore. No more exercising with glasses. No more long days with dried out contacts. The procedure was quick and comfortable though I didn't "enjoy" the flap ring, it was over quick enough ! Dr. Lasonde and his team were very informative and helpful. I have recommended the procedure countless times in the last month.

  Before I had LASIK there were so many things that I couldn't see. I couldn't see the alarm clock in the morning or even my husband's face if I didn't have my glasses or contacts. Even with my contacts in I had trouble driving at night. Now that I've had LASIK I no longer have to worry about maintenance of my contacts, I can just close my eyes at night. Probably the biggest change for me was that I no longer have migraines since having surgery. The actual procedure was only fifteen minutes and painless. Dr. Lasonde was very informative and made sure you knew everything that was going on. He never left you in the dark about anything that was happening.   Life before LASIK was literally a blur. I was nearsighted with astigmatism in both eyes so as soon as my glasses were off everything was a blur. I hated having to be careful of my glasses during contact sports and thought both glasses and contacts were an inconvenience in general. Having LASIK eye surgery has improved my life tenfold! The most important change that I have noticed is when I am driving and I look over my shoulder to change lanes. Now I can actually see clearly and can tell if a car is there or not. I only need to wear just goggles when I play racquetball, which is great! I thought the procedure was incredibly quick. The whole thing only took about 7 minutes per eye and I have to say that the worst part was the numbing eye drops at the beginning. The rest of the surgery was painless. I was extremely comfortable with Dr. Lasonde and his team. He informed me of every step of the procedure so that there were no surprises. I have already recommended many friends and coworkers to him. I give you guys an A plus!

I lived with red, irritated eyes before having my LASIK procedure. I could feel my contacts slowly damaging my eyes, but I didn't have a choice since glasses were not an option. Being a software consultant, I travel on a weekly basis. It's been wonderful not having to carry all the contact solutions from hotel to hotel or worry about dry eyes on the airplane.

Prior to LASIK I was completely reliant on contacts or glasses, even to get around my house. Without my glasses I could not even read the big "E" on the top of the chart!

I had trouble when I was swimming "blind" and couldn't lifeguard with confidence either. Also, my contacts were always dry and if I wore my glasses they would always slip down or fog up. Now that I have had LASIK I love the freedom from contacts and glasses. I no longer have to clean and put in and take out my contacts and can see in the shower and run and swim without either glasses or contacts! The procedure was a piece of cake and extremely quick, with very minor discomfort. I would recommend this team to everyone as they were all exceptional!

Before I had LASIK surgery I had to worry about where I put my glasses last, plus they would slide down my on nose during the day. I would often wear my contacts for too long and my eyes would get irritated. Contacts also interfered when I water-skied as spray would sometimes get under my goggles and dislodge my contacts. Now that I've had LASIK everything I see seems more crisp and clear. I no longer have to deal with my contacts/solutions during the day. I also was able to meet the employment requirements for the New Hampshire State Police. I am definitely looking forward to swimming and water-skiing without the need for contacts. The actual surgery was absoloutely both comfortable and quick. I never felt any discomfort either during or after the surgery. Dr. Lasonde and his whole staff were very professional and courteous, especially considering I needed LASIK done within a specific time frame. I also appreciated the phone call the night after surgery from Dr. Lasonde himself. I would recommend him highly to everyone.

Before I had LASIK I could see things close-up but not much at a distance if I didn't have my glasses on. I couldn't drive, watch TV or see anything clearly. I didn't like how my contacts would dry up if I wore them for a long time. Now that I've had surgery I'm able to see everything at a distance and also to read close-up due to the monovision. Prior to having LASIK it was always work to see, whether it was cleaning my glasses or maintain my contacts. I did not enjoy glasses or contacts and felt that they limited me during outdoor activities, such as swimming, scuba diving and wakeboarding. I would sometimes walk into walls and doors with both glasses and contacts. It has been one month since having LASIK surgery and I have yet to hit a wall or door. I have never had such good vision, even with my glasses or contacts. I really enjoy not having to find my glasses when I get out of bed in the morning. Before LASIK, I always had to worry about my glasses - especially when working. I am an engineer and whenever I had to dig a test hole in humid weather my glasses would immediately fog up. Since the age of 12, I've been fitted with glasses, contact lenses and even bifocal contact lenses. The selection of eyeglass frames always had to be made from the children's section since adult sizing was too large for my "diminutive frame". Even the lightweight titanium style was uncomfortable. Contact lenses were uncomfortable and with the bifocal type my vision was not sharp enough.

At the thorough screening the Schirmer's Test indicated a dry eye condition. I honestly didn't believe that I would be a candidate for lasik surgery. Thank you Dr. Asiam for inserting the tear duct plugs in each eye. In a few weeks my eyes were ready for the surgery.

I really felt comfortable during the laser surgery with Dr. Lasonde explaining each step as he proceeded. When the laser surgery was over, I could already see a lot more clearly. And yes it's true, by the next morning, I was driving back to Dr. Lasonde's office without any glasses! My vision was better than 20/20.

Prior to LASIK I needed two sets of prescription glasses, one regular and one pair of sunglasses. I drive a tractor trailer for a living and had to wear my glasses almost constantly. They added to nighttime glare and made it more difficult to drive when raining. I hated having to be careful not to lose my glasses on vacation if I went swimming or sailing as they are very expensive to replace. Now I can ski or really do any outdoor activity without worry. I had no qualms or unease before or during the procedure, which was painless and amazingly quick. I have had astigmatism causing me to need glasses since 1961. It was a real nuisance. Now that's I've had LASIK it's nice to be able to see things clearly at a distance. Before having LASIK I couldn't function without my glasses or contacts. With my contacts in I had trouble with my eyes getting dry and sometimes vision would get cloudy at night. I didn't like my glasses because they seemed to distort my vision unless something was directly in front of me.

Prior to having LASIK I had worn glasses or contacts ever since I was sixteen years old. After six months I still can't believe I can see so clearly without glasses. I am able to get up in the morning and actually see the alarm clock! I don't have to worry about falling asleep watching t.v. and having my eyes dry out because of my contacts any longer. Playing sports without corrective lenses is by far the biggest change for me. On sunny days I can be active wearing regular sunglasses and then just take them off when it starts to get dark. Before I had LASIK my glasses would leave dents in my nose and sometimes gave me headaches - I really felt that they were just not natural. I also used to forget that my contacts were in before I took a shower and then would have trouble getting them out again. Life prior to LASIK was limited by my lack of sight. Everything was a blur. Swimming was not the same as when I was a kid. Contacts would wash out from the water running off my head, and glasses? Well, you cannot wear glasses swimming. I loved to ride my motorcycle, however, contacts would dry out rapidly and make the experience less than enjoyable. The best thing about having the LASIK procedure, is now I don't think about my sight. It's no longer an issue, as if I was a normal person.

After years of wearing contacts, this was easy to get through, and now, one month later, my lack of eyesight, is a fading memory. I now have 20:20 vision in one eye, and 20:15 in the other. Life before the surgery was annoying. Since I am very active at night and on the weekend wearing glasses/contacts always got in the way. I could not function on a daily basis if I was not wearing glasses/contacts and driving would have been impossible. The most important change after the surgery is the mental/emotional high. It feels fantastic to wake up every morning and not only be able to see the TV but actually be able to buy an alarm clock that doesn't have oversized numbers!
The procedure was a surreal experience like nothing I have ever experienced. There was no pain or discomfort and it was over before I knew it. I was so happy to think that it was done in 10 minutes and I could finally see! It's great to be able to see "like a cat" at night. It's truly unbelievable.

For 30 years, I wore glasses. When riding my Harley, I had to always remember to bring my glasses and also bring my prescription sunglasses. I always had to use one or the other in order to see 15 feet in front of me or further. One day I heard about LASIK on the radio, and I attended my first seminar with Dr. Lasonde. I would like to share with you my comments related to my LASIK. Before LASIK I wore glasses from age 16. I am now 54. From the moment I stepped out of bed, I needed to put them on because I could not focus without them. As the years progressed, I needed bifocals then I switched to progressive lenses. Then one day I saw the results of LASIK through the happiness of my daughter's boyfriend who had had the procedure done. Like me, he disliked the encumbrance, smudges that needed to be cleaned frequently, the heat in the summer, difficulty seeing without them while swimming. I am a Registered Nurse, and I looked into it, and decided to have LASIK.

In the morning, out of force of habit, I still reach for my glasses on my night stand, but they are not there, then I smile and appreciate the surgery. I can focus the instant I open my eyes. It's a wonderful feeling not to have to wear glasses for day to day life. I wear them for small print only. If I could have had LASIK even earlier in life, I would have. Life is great ! I would like to thank Dr. Lasonde and his very kind and caring staff.

Before I had LASIK surgery I needed my glasses just to do simple things like watching TV and reading. Now I can watch TV from across the room and can read road signs from a greater distance instead of while I am passing them. I think the biggest change I have noticed is that I am now able to drive in poor conditions, whereas before with my glasses on I had a difficult time driving in the rain, snow or fog. Now I don't have to worry about losing or forgetting my glasses if I take them off, and my vision is better than it was with glasses. Also glasses made me dizzy if I played games on the computer, now I can play for hours without getting the least bit sick. The procedure itself was very quick and was over before I had the chance to get nervous. I did not feel any discomfort during the procedure either. Dr. Lasonde and his staff made me feel very comfortable. I can't recommend him enough to anyone who is tired of wearing glasses.

Life was limiting by having to wear contacts or glasses all of the time. I had to constantly clean my glasses and had to wear my contacts anytime that I was out running or doing any other sport. Now I can see clearly and don't have to spend part of my day dealing with contacts. My life really has changed drastically, before having LASIK I felt disabled but now I feel much freer. After sitting through an hour of this seminar, I was very impressed by the entire staff of Dr. Lasonde. All of the questions raised by individuals were honestly and professionally answered. That was all I needed to schedule my free screening. Everything was thoroughly explained to me at my first appointment. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Lasonde immediately and trusted him explicitly. It turns out that I'm one of the few candidates that would only require having one eye done and I would still come out of it with better vision. This alone tells me Dr. Lasonde is not in this for the money as he put my best interest and individual need ahead of the possibility of doing both eyes and making more money. His honesty impressed me, because as we all know, it's not always easy these days to find someone who's not out to make a buck and take advantage of you! This honesty was what made me schedule my appointment (even if I didn't win the free procedure!).

I have to say I was a little nervous on the morning of the procedure. In hindsight, I don't know what I was worried about. The procedure went very quickly and was over before I knew it. I only felt slight discomfort afterwards for a few hours, but hey, not much worse than dealing with those dried out contact lenses every day. Within hours I was able to see without any problems. It has been six months now since my procedure and I have to say, it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. I am able to enjoy every day things like swimming, snorkeling, driving, and watching TV without the hassle of contact lenses. I can even watch TV in bed at night and fall asleep without having to worry about getting back up to take the contacts off! It has made my life a lot simpler. My vision is clearer and even better now. I am very grateful for that phone call from my wife that February morning. As much as I complain about her listening to country music, I'm glad she was tuned in to WOKQ to hear your ad because it has changed my life forever!

Life without my glasses or contacts is fantastic. Some of the best advantages are being able to see my clock from across the room or being able to see after getting out of the shower first thing in the morning or being able to see if I get up in the middle of the night. Working on a golf course requires very early mornings and working in conditions not conducive to wearing glasses or contacts. Between sweat on my glasses or dirt and dust getting under my contacts it was very uncomfortable. After having surgery I can now get up in the morning and not have to fumble around with contacts. My vision has been corrected to 20/15 (better than 20/20) and it is incredibly sharp and clear. Being an avid snowmobiler, I can now ride without glasses fogging up and swimming and water skiing should also be more enjoyable. The procedure was very quick and easy and relatively painless with only mild discomfort for a few hours afterward. Dr. Lasonde and his staff have been exceptional. I have and will continue to encourage friends to at least attend the seminar as I did because not only is it informative but you could win a free surgery just like I did!

I have been nearsighted since I was 9yrs old and really felt that missed out on a lot of things. Without my glasses or contacts I could really only see fuzzy color. I was always nervous at the beach because if my glasses fell off in the water I wouldn't be able to see at all. I have recommended this surgery to others and have looked at folks I don't know as they are struggling with fogged lenses when coming in from the cold and said to myself, "they just don't know what they are missing." I thought life with contact lenses was convenient but now life without contacts and glasses is great.

I travel for work and hated the inconvenience of having to be sure that the lenses, solution and cleaner and then glasses made it to my next destination. Now I don't have to worry about any of that. Before I could not see the big "E" on the chart, now I have better than 20/20 vision! Before LASIK surgery I had worn contact lenses for 30 years, but because my eyes became so dry I could no longer stand to have them in. I could wear my glasses but I really hated them and didn't feel that I saw as well with them as I did with the contacts.
Without my glasses everything was a blur. I could see things very close but little to nothing a couple of feet away. Now I am able to see things I have never seen in my life! Colors seem brighter, I can see the edges of leaves several feet away. I can even see my husband's face when I am on the other side of the bed. It is really like a dream come true! To me it is like a miracle to wake up in the morning and be to see without first putting on my glasses. I am still in the amazement stage right now, I love being able to see clearly!
The procedure was very quick and with no discomfort. The LASIK team and Dr. Lasonde have my highest regards and deepest thanks. They are a great example of a finely tuned team, I am grateful that each of them was working together on the day of my surgery. Before LASIK I could not see beyond my nose if I didn't have my contacts in or took off my glasses. I hated the inconvenience of contacts and the dry eyes that came with them. I had been reliant on glasses or contacts for 28 yrs prior to the LASIK surgery. With contacts my eyes would get very red by the end of the day and my glasses would always steam up when I went outside. I enjoy swimming and could never open my eyes underwater with contacts. Now I can distinctly see all my surroundings when I get up in the morning, including the alarm clock! Plus it's nice having extra time to get ready in the morning. I have much more freedom when traveling overnight and also when I go boating. It's so nice to not have to bring contact solutions or take my lenses out at night.

Prior to LASIK I could only see about 10 inches in front of me. I always had a fear of being stranded without my glasses. I was always worried about my glasses flying off during outdoor activities such as snow-tubing. Now my vision is actually clearer than it was with glasses! When I got glasses in the third grade I didn't think it was too bad until my eyesight got progressively worse every year. Each year brought a new prescription and new glasses. As a freshman in high school I got contacts and loved how I looked without glasses. My prescription continued to get worse and after college I decided to look into LASIK surgery. I had heard about Dr. Lasonde having performed surgery on Charlie O'Brien from WZID decided to attend one of his free seminars. After the seminar I signed up for one of his free screenings and then for the final exam because I was now very enticed by the thought of not having to wear contacts. I did obtain a second opinion from another surgeon in the area but was a lot more comfortable with Dr. Lasonde.
When I went in to have the procedure done I was asked to look at the clock in the surgery suite, because I was so blind without my contacts I could not even see it up on the wall. When the procedure was complete about a half hour later I was once again asked to look at the clock. This time my response was, "Wow, it 4:00!" There was absolutely no pain during or after the procedure. I am so happy that I finally got the courage to have LASIK done. I can now see what time it is when I wake up in the middle of the night without being two inches from the clock. I was able to go on my honeymoon and not worry about packing my glasses and all my contact products. I went snorkeling and swimming and didn't need to worry about losing a contact in the water. I can also go water skiing and am able to see the boat that is pulling me. This was the best decision I have ever made and I owe my vision to Dr. Lasonde!

I hope this isn't too long but I am just so happy! I have a friend who just had LASIK done a couple of weeks and she is also very happy. She heard me talk about the surgery and decided to go for it. Thanks for everything!

I have had to wear glasses or contacts since the age of seven, without them I could not see anything at all. Both contacts and glasses were a nuisance for me; contacts would tear and need to be cleaned daily and my glasses were constantly fogging up or sliding down. With my contacts I had trouble with depth perception and could never open my eyes underwater when swimming.
Now that I've had LASIK surgery being able to see without glasses or contacts is such a great experience. I go about my day and then realize that I am doing everything without aid. The freedom from the cost and cleaning of contacts and glasses is incredible as is being able to get up and go through my day without them. I am looking forward to playing tennis without having to wear my glasses!

I had no pain at all during the procedure and it only took 20 minutes. Dr. Lasonde and his team were extremely professional and caring. I would recommend them to everyone! I would like to thank Dr. Lasonde and his whole team for my terrific sight.

I just wanted to write and tell you how happy I am as a result of LASIK surgery. I had been looking into the procedure for the past two years and had gone to your seminar and received packets from a few doctors in the area. I chose you not only for your experience but also how you and your team made me feel. Listening to you at the seminar your honesty, passion for your work and compassion for those of us who need corrective eyewear won me over. The day of your surgery (I was the last appointment of the day) everyone was so patient and considerate even though I'm sure it had been a long day for all of you. The procedure was over quickly and I had no pain at all. When I sat up after the surgery and could see the clock on the wall it felt like a miracle, especially since I had been unable to see anything in the room when I first entered it minutes before. That night my eyes were uncomfortable anytime I tried to open them so I went off to bed. When my husband woke me up the next morning to find out how I felt I couldn't believe what I was seeing! It was a whole new world, so crisp and clear I was so happy that I cried all the way to my appointment. Prior to having LASIK, I could not read road or street signs while driving - especially in the dark or the rain. More importantly I could not fully enjoy my mountain biking and motorcycling hobbies safely. Wearing glasses affected my depth perception and created blind spots; since I didn't find contacts appealing I just suffered through which reduced my enjoyment.
After LASIK surgery I now fully enjoy all my hobbies and can enjoy effortlessly seeing road signs and small resolutions on my computer monitor. Before LASIK I called myself "blind as a bat" because I had terribly blurry vision and couldn't really see anything more than five feet in front of me. It was such a hassle to me to have to wear and take care of glasses and contacts. I love to swim but hated not being able to see clearly doing so. Now that I've had LASIK I feel that my eyes are finally healthy. I can't describe the joy it brings to wake up in the morning and see clearly! Now I can both swim and see! Before LASIK if I did not have my glasses or contacts in I couldn't see anything beyond four feet away from me. Sports activities were difficult if I did not bring contacts or if it was an unplanned event, and there were some activities that I could not do if I had only brought my glasses. The most important change I have noticed is that I now have continual clear vision and can appreciate that I don't have to wear glasses to be able to see. I can now do all activities with no restrictions that I used to have to either not do or do in a limited amount. The procedure was very comfortable and quick, with no issues or problems in any way. The staff was excellent. I have nothing but favorable comments for everyone on the staff.

Prior to LASIK if I took off my glasses or contacts I would have a hard time just walking and staying in balance. My contacts were a nuisance and my eyes would get irritated and infected often. Also my vision would get blurry if my contacts weren't new by a few days and would get progressively worse as time went on. The most important change I have noticed is that I now have trouble free, clear distance vision and the ability to read close up better than with contacts. Being 48 yrs old, reading glasses over my contacts was a must. Now, after LASIK, I can see 20/20 for distance and can read menus and other literature considerably better without reading glasses. It is a major improvement over contacts and I am able to perform most everyday duties unaided. The procedure was a piece of cake, a walk in the park! Dr. Lasonde and the team were great in every aspect and I am recommending them to everyone I know.
